In order to provide a targeted response to the global outbreak caused by COVID-19, the Central European Initiative is glad to launch the COVID-19 Extraordinary Call for Proposals 2020.
The call purposely aims at addressing quickly the specific needs of communities in CEI Member States, including Belarus, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
A total budget of EUR 600.000 -supported by all CEI Member States through the CEI Cooperation Fund and by Italy through the Know-how Exchange Programme under the CEI Fund at the EBRD – will be allocated for granting proposals in three areas of intervention:
- Healthcare and telemedicine (MED) – including purchase of equipment to meet urgent medical needs; purchase of medical software and other IT tools to facilitate telemedicine practices; organisation of online seminars (webinars) to facilitate transfer of knowledge between and among healthcare experts and operators; realisation and production of information material (infographics, videos, social media campaigns); translation of documents, information material and research work into the national languages;
- Education and e-learning/distance learning (EDU) – including purchase of equipment for e-learning purposes, including hardware (school digital boards, computer, laptops, tablets, devices, etc.) and software (online tools, platforms for distance learning, etc.); organisation of online seminars (webinars) to facilitate transfer of knowledge between and among education experts and operators ;
- Support to Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) – including purchase of equipment for facilitating smart working, including hardware (computers, laptops, tablets, devices, etc.) and software (online tools, platforms for smart working, etc.); organisation of online seminars (webinars) to facilitate transfer of knowledge between and among economic experts and operators; purchase of consulting services to facilitate innovation, with a particular focus on digitalisation and dematerialization of businesses.
Eligibility: All public and private entities, NGOs based and registered in a CEI Member State as well as international/regional organisations can apply for a CEI grant up to 100% of the value of their project, and up to a maximum amount of 40.000,00 EUR.
The deadline for submitting applications is the 9th of April 2020.
