A post-event article about the 2014 edition of the Black Sea NGO Forum was published in the news section of the International Forum of National NGO Platforms (IFP), highlighting the theme of the event, enabling environment for CSOs, as well as the initative of launching a process to create a Strategy of Civil Society in the Black Sea Region.
Given that enabling environment is a concept based on the international Busan Committments regarding the vital role of CSOs in promoting democracy and fostering development, the dissemination of information about the Black Sea NGO Forum at the level of IFP, continues the direction of bringing regional discussions in the broader global context.
IFP is an international network of 55 national platforms from Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe and Oceania and seven regional coalitions, representing more than 21,000 organizations. IFP’s mission is to broaden the space for NGO participation in global debates and supports cooperation between NGOs and platforms from countries which benefit from development assistance.
