The regional thematic meeting of the Anti-Corruption Black Sea NGO Forum Working Group was held on the 26th of June, in Kutaisi, Georgia.
The meeting of the Anti-Corruption Working Group, with the title “Islands of Integrity at the Black Sea” brought together practitioners and representatives of NGOs from Georgia, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine, local governments’ representatives from Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine, other experts and international organizations representatives.
The meeting aimed at consolidating the network of experts in the field of anti-corruption and at reviewing the recorded progress with regards to the implementation and promotion of the “Islands of Integrity” methodology in the municipalities from Georgia, Rep. of Moldova, Ukraine and Turkey and other CEE/ SEE countries (including Romania).
The first regional meeting of the Anti-Corruption Professionals Network was organised in October 2016, in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, as part of the 8th edition of the Black Sea NGO Forum (2nd -3rd of November 2015, Tbilisi, Georgia) during which the Anti-Corruption Professionals Network was officially launched.
The regional thematic meetings of the Black Sea NGO Forum Working Groups are part of the follow-up activity of the last year’s edition (31st of October – 2nd of November 2016, Varna, Bulgaria), organised by the Romanian NGDO Platform – FOND, with the support of the European Commission and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – Regional Centre for Europe and Central Asia and CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness – CPDE.
